Please Allow Me to Introduce Myself
Hello OfficerResource Members, Glad to have found this place, thanks to the Mike Dimone, he spoke highly about the site on his Blog Talk Radio show. I see some fellow listeners have also joined, always nice to see some familiar faces. I’d like to give a shout out to Dustoff262, KateyKakes, Tony. Also would like to thank Lewisipso for the call in to the show and the warm welcome to this site. This site looks awesome!
I am a retired, Police Officer, from the NYC Police Department. I left NYPD in March 2006 after 20 years of service. I worked my entire career in the Bronx and will say I had a great career and worked with some of the finest people you could ever want to work with. I do miss the job, the people but not the bullcrap that came with the job, speaking mostly of the bureaucratic bull. I do keep in touch with some of my former co-workers and try to keep up with the comings and goings in the precinct and with the job. I visit a few other rant sites, met some great folks there as well. It is a great way to keep in the loop of the law enforcement community and in touch with your fellow brothers and sisters in blue.
Thanks for having me, take care and always, STAY SAFE! Bets

welcome from the armpit of hell, otherwise known as Oklahoma
500 fights, that's the number I figured when I was a kid. 500 street fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate tough guy. You need them for experience. To develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then, after, you realize that's what you are.

Hey and welcome from South Carolina.

And now I've got "Sympathy for the Devil" going through my head. It'll get old for a while, but for right now I'm enjoying it.

No Way.. OMG.. thankfully I have only worked 116th once and the PR parade twice in so far. Im RDO on Sunday and Mondays, and you know the Chief, if he can get away with no one working overtime, he will trim the detail down to one guy with an M4, one K9, and one guy with a Radeye Pager. (and the last guy assigned to the pager will probably be a cadet... lmao).
