Hey guys and gals my name is Matt and I'm glad to be part of this site as I've been posting on officer.com for sometime. I'm 23 and I'm not currently in Law Enforcement however I plan to apply to Dallas sometime early next year. I've always had the idea of law enforcement in the back of my head and after going on a ride along I think it will be a good fit for me. I look forward to conversing with you guys.

Welcome Matt. Are there any other departments that you are going to apply for as well. It's good to know what department you want most of all, but the hiring can be VERY competitive. It's a good idea to try a few different places. I have a bud in Texas that had been having trouble getting hired, but after trying a number of places, finally got his chance to live out his dream. Good luck in your attempts at landing the greatest job in the world!
