My First Post
Hi all!
Well a little about me, I'm 27, just finished my law enforcement education here in the frozen tundra of Minnesota. I went to a community college that's growing in accolades, but still treats their LE students the worst out of any segment. Our DT classes including PT were done in a conference room.
AngryBassets showed me this site and I joined up. I'm also a refugee from CopTalk.
NOT a cop though!! In MN we pay for all our schooling/training, take the POST test, THEN get the privledge of applying. Very hard process to say the least. I'm currently going to the local stepchild school in the U of MN system, working on my Accounting degree. Yes Accounting, not Crim. Everyone up here goes for Crim, and the accounting training is helping with my being able to investigate things better. Plus if I never get a cop job, I won't turn down the money!
I warn you, sometimes I'm the King of lame or subtle humor, especially pop culture references.
And you have to look close, but I'm damn near in the middle of the pic, bald head, red ropes on the shoulder. Look for the guy front/center, and go 2 back from him.

Hello and welcome to LEF!
I couldn't help but notice that 2 of you were wearing the red rope on your shoulder as you have mentioned and I also noticed that 4 others were wearing blue ropes on their shoulder. Can you please explain the significance and the difference between the two? Thanks!

A Smile
A smile cost nothing, but gives so much.
It enriches those who receive it,without making poorer those who give.It takes but a moment, but the memoryof it sometimes lasts forever.
None is so rich or mighty that hecan get along without it,and none is so poor but thathe can be made rich by it.
A smile creates happiness in the home, fosters goodwill in business, and is the countersign of friendship.
It brings rest to the weary, cheer to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad,and it is nature's best antidote for trouble.
Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed,or stolen, for it is something that is of novalue to anyone until it is given away.
Some people are too tired to give you a smile.Give them one of yours, as none needs a smileso much as he who has no more to give.

And in the states a lot of Academies have uniforms even if they are not on a specific department.Being the best is not what always counts. What counts is always trying your best.
Remember who you are, and where you came from. That way you never get a big head.

After taking another look at the picture, did any of you notice that guy second from the end in the 1st row on the left of the picture? Look how tall he is compared to the others. Look how long his legs are. So how tall is he?
BTW, Peter you look very nice in your class picture.

It is better to be tried by 12, than carried by 6.

I honestly can't even tell who that is.
Re: hair, it passed school regs. The instructor you see in his dress uniform was our Uniform Torturer. Former USMC DI, and Honor Guard member. I got dinged by him for my gig line being 1/4" off.
Re: him not standing the right way, I have no idea, since obviously I was 2 rows in front.
Color Assignment:
Blue Ropes--Squad A Leader/Asst. Leader
Red Ropes--Squad B Leader/Asst. Leader
Black Ropes--Squad C Leader/Asst. Leader
Green Ropes--Squad D Leader/Asst. Leader
About Alexandria, I tried man I tried!! I couldn't afford rent out there. I lived at my pop's since it was like 5min to school.
One thing I learned that day, doing an about face on wet grass is NOT an easy task.

I think the tall guy looks taller because of a mix between camera angle and the short ass beside him, Jesus he must be only about my height!

That guy I think is very tall. His head appears to be much higher then the others. His legs appear to pass several of the others waist lines.
