9/11 Police Aid Foundation
Hello!
My name is Donna Michaels, and I'm a member on the Board of Trustees for the 9/11 Police Aid Foundation. Our foundation is dedicated to helping police officers who have become ill from working in Rescue and Recovery after the 9/11 aftermath.
It is unfortunate that so many are unaware of how sick the cops have become due to exposure. My husband is one of those who became ill.
Please visit the website and consider purchasing a t-shirt to help support our cause. If you do order a t-shirt, please make sure you let us know what size you need.

Welcome to Officer Resource, Donna. Thank you for accepting my invitation.
Please also let your members, the officers, and the families know about Officer Resource.com, and they will be welcomed with open arms here.
Your heroism, and devotion to duty, and your sacrifices for your fellow man are not forgotten.
I urge others to see for themselves what your foundation is all about, and if so led (as I have been), show your love and support for these men and women, our brothers and sisters, who still suffer from the atrocity suffered by this country at the hands of evil.

Got that right 2 Blue.
I'll fix the profile here shortly. The support is wonderful. There's a big misconception that the sick police officers are being taken care of when it is far, far from the truth and reality of what is going on.
Refer to the way people were "taken care of" after Agent Orange, and you might have a clear idea of what we're up against.

I'm posting the link for the Mike Dimone Show.
The person initially being interviewed is a good friend of mine, Retired Detective Michael Valentin, who is the Vice President of the 9/11 Police Aid Foundation. A great guy and wonderful friend who, despite his suffering, has dedicated his life to helping others who are ill. I know this is a long show, but the fact of the matter is that what happened in NY could happen anywhere. I think there's a belief that the cops who have become ill have been "taken care of" when it is far from the truth. Instead, they've been discarded when they are no longer able to work. Their lives have been cut short. They suffer on a daily basis. A common statement I hear is, "I wish I had died that day. I would've been better off than to have suffered and watch my family suffer with me."
With that, I plead that you listen to the show..mainly because it is only a mere peak into the lives of those ill from 9/11.

Welcome.
SI VIS PACEM PARA BELLUM-Ex-Sheriff Martin Howe to Will Kane in "High Noon"
"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.
