Hello
Hello. I just want to briefly introduce myself. My name is Peggy. I live in SW Florida and I'm a homicide survivor. My son's young beautiful wife was kidnapped, raped and murdered in January 2008.

I want to thank PDawg and ex401mp for their kind thoughts and words. The law enforcement community has been truly awesome to our family. Other than the 9-1-1 debacle everyone has been (I'm tearing up thinking about it) awesome.
Dear ex401mp, thank you for searching for Denise along side our family. God bless you for your work in trying to keep us safe and being their for Nathan. I've had major struggles with the CCSO but never with you officers in the field. You are wonderful. We want you to know we'll never EVER forget those who were there and those who have helped.
And you're absolutely right. Denise was a lovely young woman. She was a truly innocent human being, totally selfless and didn't have a malicious bone in her tiny body. She was just beautiful. She saved our grandkids, Noah and Adam. Though she's gone, she's the prosecution's best witness, IMO. A remarkable young woman. Her father has got to be proud.
I promise you Nathan is driven, energized and motivated in doing all he can to help the 9-1-1 community in a positive way. He's truly doing all he believes is right. He wants to give back to the community that has given us so much. Although it's been tragic we've been so blessed on this journey by the support of so many people. Good will triumph over evil.

We all followed the horrific episode with your daughter-in-law through the news and through PDawg and ex401mp. I am truely sorry for your loss.

I've been roaming around this site on and off most of the day. I'm in awe at what you men and women do. I'm afraid to post. All I want to do is in every thread that relates to your service is say "THANK YOU!"
The "officer down" threads......... I'm without words.
Aside to ex401mp: Thank you for the compliment to Nathan. He's a good egg (even if I am his mom)
But, trust me, he has his moments and there's a lot going on there. He's got a tough road ahead. He's trying to slay dragons. It's difficult for a mom to watch. The support we received from the community was immensely helpful to him. We truly saw good in the face of terrible evil. I think of all the families who have lost loved ones to murder and don't get even an iota of the support received. It humbles us.
