Old things new...
I guess I have been registered on here for quite some time, but I have rarely logged on. I suppose there were reasons enough for that, as well as using this log-on (a play on my last name). I've been assured those reasons are a thing of the past, so here I am.
Many will know me by "Switchback". I would have registered with it, but my email already had this name on it. Ah well.
Anywho, for those who don't know me, I am a U.S. Marshal. I have been doing it for about 14 years now. I've been doing fugitive work exclusively for a long time now. I did a stint as a sniper on our Special Operations Group for many years, doing a little of this and that here and there. I recently gave it up for a promotion and just do the hide-and-seek thing these days.
Well, that's that... nothing much else to me. I'll get to work on the verification thing next.

Just because your sign off after you're shift is done, doesn't mean that it's over and put blinders on. You're a cop 24/7 wether you like it or not. If thats something you can't handle, you should find a new line of work!

Thanks for the great welcome, guys (and gals).
FYI, Reca offered to change my name. While I was not going to bother him with asking, I certainly will take him up on the offer... so, expect to see Switchback floating around here soon.

...and is it just me, or are there a lot of (presumably) LSU fans around here?!?!?!

Don't worry... I am not hating. While a little fanatical down there, I feel a bit of connection after all the time I have spent, hanging out in Louisiana over the years.

For some random unfathomable reason, there happens to be a huge number of LEOs from Louisiana on this site. They have been affectionately nicknamed the Swamp Mafia.

You can observe and participate in talk about gators and stuff here:
