Hi kj-
Thanks for your welcome! I totally agree with your vest comment. I ALWAYS wore my vest. I had a very close friend that was just as religious about it as I was....but, for some reason, one day he did not have it on and lost his life in a robbery call. Miss him everyday:
Officer Willis Cole, New Cumberland PD, PA
We've never learned why...I hope to ask him in Heaven and put my foot up his @ss. He left behind a wife and 6 month old son.

Hey Big Dawg! My dream was always to be a K-9 officer...I did work as a trainer in a part-time job while I was on the job. I had a beautiful pure black shepherd that I protection trained. No one got into our yard when my son was out there!
I've done several ride alongs in South Florida, with Broward SO and Davie PD. I always had a blast!
Please be safe, okay???

Hey gopherpuck! Are you a hockey fan? I am a die-hard Pens fan. I had a case that ended up moving from Pittsburgh PD to my department by Harrisburg. A woman showed up with all sorts of national news clippings about her son who had watched a Phil Donahue about turning your parents in for dealing drugs. The mom had lost custody when she moved out of Allegheny County to IUP to better herself. Dad was a scumbag that left the kids alone in an unheated house with marijuana, cocaine and heroin within their reach. The 10 yr. old picked up the phone and called Pittsburgh PD. They were taken from Dad and given to mom.
So, mom gets her degree and moves to Harrisburg to get a state job. They ended up living in my jurisdiction. Mom showed up at the PD because even though the trial had not happened yet, the father still had visitation! He was calling his son and telling him he was coming to visit and would be having a long talk with him as to whether he should testify against his dad or not. I sent an emergency petition to the Allegheny family court and visitation was taken. When the trial came up, they flew me out to Pittsburgh....during the '92 cup finals. Beofer I left, I was invited to a Cup party by the Penguins. I drank for the Cup and slow-danced with Jagr. The thing that sucks? I didn't know anything about hockey.
I can assure you that now I do. I play for a women's team and also on some police teams when needed. I'm a goalie.

Hey Cap! I promise that I'll be one of the good gals...I'm looking at doing prosecution. I'm also rather disturbed by how some of our soldiers, both male and female are being treated by spouses and significant others after they are deployed. Sending a custody action to them is one of the most cowardly things I've ever seen when these soldiers are putting their lives on the line. I would be honored to handle those cases pro bono. The last thing those soldiers and sailors need to worry about is this kind of thing when their main concern should be survival!
It REALLY pisses me off!
Thanks for the welcome and I hope to visit your area, I've always wanted to do so!
