Hello from Michigan's U.P.
My name is John. I currently work for Michigan's Dept of Natural Resourses, Law Division as a Conservation Officer. I am assigned to a county in the Upper Peninsula, which is the part of Michigan above the Mackinaw Bridge that most people don't even know is part on Miichigan:) Prior to this I worked as a Sheriff's Deputy and a City Officer down state. I have been in law enforcement going on 15 years now.
Here in Michigan, CO's are fully certified police officers. So we can enforce all state laws. We try to stick to mostly fish & game, orv, snowmobile & marine enforcement. It really is a pretty fun job. The things most people pay too do I get paid too do. I spend my winter 'patroling' on my snowmoblie, my summers on a quad or in a boat and I get to spend more time in the woods than a man should be allowed. It is a very unique cop job.
I'm looking forward to getting to know some of you on this site. So far there has been quite a bit of good & entertaining stuff
