Police Officer too. I've been trying to get out here for years. Welcome.
Thank you.
Welcome aboard. See here about verified membership requirements. Glad to have you.
Welcome to the dysfunctional family!
Thank you sir, I have been dinged on a few other "police" sites, so I am not real comfortable giving anyone that kind of info. I would like to look around a bit, hopefully not violate any rules while posting. I understand the verified system and appreciate it, but would like to lay low just now.
Nothing personal Blackbird, however business is business:
-LEOs and C/Os who refuse to contact Site Staff with their information for LEO or C/O verification within seven days of registering or within seven days of meeting the verification requirements is not allowed, and will result in a permanent ban.
TOS that can be found here:

Well, that was short and sweet.
Well - - - short anyhoo.
.
Well dang.
Welcome aboard, shit my bad.
Okay, that was weird.
So, you may be wondering what just happened.
I'll explain it, and use this as a means by which to demonstrate what now, and has always set Officer Resource apart from "other" police forums:
This site, owned (privately) by a cop, run by cops, and dedicated to cops, does not allow anyone to sign in and claim to be a police officer anywhere without proving such is the case. We verify all who claim to be law enforcement officers, its just that simple. We do this for a multitude of reasons; (1) to ensure that all claiming to be law enforcement officers are such, and are not claiming so falsely, (2) to protect the information contained in the areas restricted to law enforcement, and (3) to provide the highest quality of interaction between the officers and one another, and the officers and the public. Quite simply, you cannot come onto OR.com, say "I'm an officer", and stay here without giving us the courtesy of ensuring you are indeed what you claim.
Quoting our terms of service:
Blackbird came in with a terse hello, a claim to be a LEO, then a refusal to comply with these terms. As a privately owned site, he was subjected to a ban for his non-compliance. Harsh? Not really. We have gone to great lengths to perfect our system of verifications. It is quiet, but highly effective. We never "out" anyone here, nor do we utilize government resources to verify status. We are thorough, however.Quote:
In order to maintain the integrity of Officer Resource and prevent impersonators from representing themselves as law enforcement officers, we require all members who meet our criteria for LEO verification to private message to Countybear, Lewisipso, MacLean, or Pudge, with the following information within seven days of registering...
We have in the past uncovered a great number of persons who, (for whatever reason), have attempted to bypass, circumvent, or subvert our process, which we feel is the most effective out there while also being the most unobtrusive. For a few laughs, check out the Holding Cell area and you'll see how we handle those.
So, Five-0 showed Blackbird the door. Nothing personal sir. We just have our rules.
Hello, goodbye. Your brief visit reminded me of a Beatles tune.
A well considered policy enforced swiftly and directly without fuss, with explanation to clarify any confusion - I love to see a good plan come together.
Hi! Bye! DAM another here and gone before I can catch up.
I agree that the system that this site has in place is by far the best and is the reason that we have the great interaction that we have here in all of the areas.
