Hello, I am new to the forum and hope to learn and participate. I am a current LEO and have been "on the job" for the past 25+ years. I am currently (and have been for the past 12 years) a Sergeant over patrol so I run into a multitude of situations, some interesting and some not so much. My primary area of our city is primarily in the area where the residents are "less priviledged" and therefore we deal with a lot of "drugs", "prostitution", "violent crimes" such as "robberies", "Assaults", "Family Violence", etc.
Prior to becomming a supervisor I was with our SWAT Team, Organized Crime, Narcotics, VIP Protection, Investigations, and of course Patrol. I still love my job and hope to put in another 10 years before I leave, assuming I can survive all the constant changes and "Political Correctness" involved in current day Policing. I look forward to participating and hopefully contributing to the knowledge pool.
