    Cool New Officer from the panhandle of Florida

    Hello Everyone,

    I just joined this site and wanted to say hello to everyone. I'm a new full-time police officer from the city of Bonifay, Florida. A small city between Panama City Beach, Florida & Dothan, Alabama. I've been in law enforcement now for 6 months and look forward to chatting with other officers with backgrounds and experience that might be able to help other officers out.

    I've been through Bonifay MANY times.. Such a very SMALLL town. Reminds me of Mayberry. lol.

    How much is the starting salary up there? I heard it was only $18-$20k a year.

    your right its small here and pay is low...$20k. I think it will soon be increasing, Wild Kingdom Theme Park and some kind of Music Theme Park are suppost to be comming to town, in addition to the international airport being built just south of Bonifay on the main hwy. Also the state is getting ready to build a connector to I-85 to I-10 somewhere through this area so the area is getting ready to start growing whether the town is ready for it or not.
