New But May Not Stay

Hi everybody, it seems that most people here are members of law enforcement agencies.....I am not, so am not sure that I really belong on these forums. Not really sure what I was expecting and I guess I should have read some of the threads before joining. BUT and that is a BUT at least before I make a decision, I can at least tell you what I think of police officers.

Yes I was stationed in Congressional Inquiries and Humanitarian Reassignments at BUPERS for 2 years then onboard a Dependent Support Ship for 2 years. Had to extend 1 year because the ship was suppose to go to Greece, but we ended up not going because the Greek government didn't want us there. I never found out if it was the whole Navy they didn't want or if it was the women. Anywho I ended up giving up leave in England and France to go aboard the ship because I really really wanted to see Greece. Never had the opportunity to go to England and France again. It was only going to cost me $500.00 for airfare, tours, a week's room & continental breakfast.

Hmm now that I think about it, I think it was standby for the airfare.
