National Guard, and Army Reserve
They are hiring. Giving away good money too. Military Police are in demand along with a few other MOS out there. Right now I have a Guard recruiter buzzing my phone daily, my partner is in the Guard and gave him my name, number and told him I was a prior service vet.

Don't do it. I just got out of the Guard after seven years because it's become a complete joke. There's almost no training anymore, your drill weekends are spent doing administrative nonsense.
Don't forget that when (not if) you deploy, you'll be gone for 18 months instead of 12. If you want to be in the military, do it full-time."I'm not a coward,

It all depends on the unit your in. There are high speed units and low speed units. Should you want to join, go for it. Your prior service so you know what needs to be done.
As for being deployed. You bet your bippy that you'll make your way to the sand box.

I would do it if I were younger. It may suck,, but if you stay in long enough it sure makes for a nice supplemental retirement income. I have a friend who did his 20yrs full and part time and he is popping about 1000. per month on his military retirement.

If you retire from the Reserve Component, your retirement doesn't start until 60, or maybe 55. They're "working on" bringing the age down. If I had stayed in I would have retired at 39 and waited at least 15 years to get a retirement check. Not worth it.
If you retire from active-duty, your checks start coming in immediately."I'm not a coward,

Been there. Was active duty Army and in the National Guard. Loved it when I was single. Hated it after I got married and had a few kids.

Got a buddy that is National Guard and he told me to check into Military Police as well. It has a 20k sign on over a 4 year tour BUT, yea a big fucking BUT you will spend a tour in Iraq. The statement was, and I quote:
"All Soldiers will have boots in sand within 18months of enlistment."
I have no interest in going to Iraq.STOP RESISTING!!!!

And in case you don't speak Latin.......If you want peace, prepare for war.
I've been places, seen and done things that would make most cry. I've fought along side and against better men then most I come across day to day, i've put my life on the line more then once for things you take for granted and for those you have lost respect for. I don't tell you this for your pity or respect but for you to remember me.
