how's the academy? been thinking about this for a while (good bud is a training officer here in South Texas), but of course i wanted to be a "cop" with all the bullshit that came with it..all gung ho of course. now i'm thinking about it again.

Nothing like the regular academies. It was too easy actually. They could toughen it up and maybe it would filter out more of the undesirables. The hiring standards are pretty lax.

Academy is easy, you only have to be in fair shape, now it deals alot with immigration law. It is not high speed chase em down work, but you CAN seize a TON of drugs and get lots of arrests, (disclaimer port dependant) I have been with CBP for 5 years and have seized about 1982 lbs of marijuana, (BC Bud) 209,000 tabs of Ecstasy, and 137 lbs of Powdered Ecstasy.
