The United States Secret Service is a federal law enforcement organization with a unique dual, yet critical, national security mission: protect our nation's leaders and to conduct criminal investigations. Our special agents continue a tradition of excellence - whether investigating financial crime or protecting national and visiting foreign leaders. In the Secret Service, we serve the country with duty, loyalty, justice, integrity and courage. The Secret Service is currently hiring Special Agents throughout the country, generally beginning at the GL-7 or GL-9 grade levels. Based on those grade levels and geographic area assigned, the 2009 starting salary range is $43,200 - $73,354. An additional 25% Law Enforcement Availability Pay (LEAP) is added to the base, geographic pay.
