The incoherent statements given in my posts DO NOT reflect the opinions, views, policies, and/or procedures of my employing agency or any other person for that matter. They are MY PERSONAL DELUSIONAL FANTASIES and I accept sole responsibility as such as I am either drunk or stressed out of my mind.

The recruitment video looked exciting though.

I actually seriously looked at applying to the CBP and some other Federal agencies such as the Park Police. Unfortunately my vision isn't good enough, even with contact lenses. Most police and Sheriff's departments are a lot more lenient with vision. I was kind of frustrated to find that out.
I could get LASIK done but I'm not exactly rolling in the dough and I'm still uneasy about having my eyes worked on.Last edited by Welpe; 04-12-06 at 03:21 AM.

Yeah I've been just fine and dandy with contacts for so long that I don't see the need. Many agencies will accept contacts with no minimum uncorrected vision requirement so I don't see a pressing need to have it done.

I suppose doing some more reading up on the procedure might set my mind at ease. I know it has been successfully been completed many times but I'm still broke.

I'm actually going to start a new topic about this so we don't completely hijack this thread...."To the German commander: 'Nuts!' The American Commander" - General Tony McAuliffe, 101st Airborne Division
