The next entrance exam for the New York State Police will be held in October, 2013. Base salary is $50,374 to $84,739 plus benefits. NY Troopers typically work 12 hour shifts, 7 out of every 14 days. You will be asked to select an exam date and location at the time you apply. Out of state applicants are encouraged, but you must become a NY resident by the date of appointment. There is a $20 application fee, and the deadline to apply is 9/8/13.
