Patriot Guard Escorts Moving Vet's Wall - LA
Patriot Guard Riders rode an escort for the moving Viet Nam Veteran's Memorial Wall today in Louisiana. Before all was said and done, and estimated 1000+ bikes showed up to run the wall from Hammond, LA to Central, just outside of Baton Rouge. I-12 was all but closed, as passers-by and onlookers actually stopped and crowded over the roadway to watch the spectacle. The secondary roadways were lined with people waving American flags throughout the route. It was a truly moving experience.
These pics were from one of the staging areas. Sorry I didn't get any of the actual ride, but hey.. I was busy riding and waving.

This bike has an interesting history. One year ago this Thursday, it's owner died on it and the bike was totalled. His widow gave the bike to his best friend, who rebuilt it, painted it in his honor, and rides it now.

This bike has an interesting history too.. its mine.

I can't even watch a news clip of the moving wall without channel 2 plastering a CB's mug on my tv.
