    When my wife and I visited a castle in Germany there was a small cafe similar to what you posted. Eating at such places was actually a highlight for me.

    Actually it signifes the confines of a pedestrian controlled crossing. You are not allowed to park or overtake within the "zig zag" markings.

    That is exactly how I felt when I was in Europe. It was probably just the scenery change but the scenery and atmosphere was very calming. If it weren't for the flying I'd go back every chance I had.
