If you have a food allergy be sure to read the menu carefully or ask the server what's in that fancy dish you're about to order.

It's a shame that happened. If I had a food allergy and wanted to eat in a restaurant I would make it clear to anyone who prepared food for me (because even eating something that's been in contact with with an allergen can produce a reaction), thoroughly check my plate, and I would also always have an epi pen with me.
It does surprise me that Ruby Tuesday's uses real crab meat.

I've got a problem with the restaurant's denials... I worked as a waiter once... So let's figure out a likely pattern. Unless the guy had an incredibly massive reaction, he ate, left and dropped dead. Investigation reveals that he died from food allergies, and they start backtracking. But they still had the order pad?
OK... let's bump things the other way for a second. Guy eats his chicken, and dies right there. Yeah -- I see looking for a food allergy. Then the cops would have the pad... not the restaurant.
My guess? Waiter screwed up twice; the guy asked about the Chicken Oscar, said I don't want that, ordered Chicken Fresco... and the waiter wrote the wrong thing down.Voting against incumbents until we get a Congress that does its job.

Rick Johnson, spokesman for the Marvyille, Tenn. based Ruby Tuesday company, told The Associated Press on Tuesday that the server's order pad and the kitchen ticket indicate that Hawkins ordered the Chicken Oscar, a dish with crab meat.
