Gaming console as a media player?

While new consoles can play DVDs, I figure most of us already had a DVD player. The PSP3 with Blu-Ray is a bit different animal, of course.

Since I downloaded the update to play Divx, m4v, and other video on the 360 it went from being turned on a couple times a month to near daily use. That's how I watch a few video podcasts, nightly news, etc. If I had Netflix I'd have to finally get the Xbox on the network to use that streaming video feature.

What else do you use your gaming console for, what does it do that you don't use? And anyone try that Netflix streaming?

Netflix streaming is cool on a small screen. I don't think I'd wanna watch it on a big screen though. Too pixelated for me
