    It was interesting. I'll keep watching it a while and see where it goes.

    I'm with the others... seemed interesting so far -- but could easily go either good or bad.

    Lots of back story hinted at -- but not given. Gotta wonder if that's going hurt or help, long term.

    I had to go to bed to get up early for a written test this morning. So I only watched a few minutes. I will have to catch the rest online.

    After seeing Hulu It looks like a good series if they can keep the episodes like the first.

    i thought it was real good, right up to the point that the female detective went to her suspects residence alone because of the ants, and then he suddenly emerged from the shadows and hit her in the head with a blunt object, knocking her unconscious. that was way stupid, and turned me off.

    I agree, why would someone go to a high risk area alone. Too many things could have happened.

    I liked it enough to keep watching but I had hoped for a bit more of a story line.

    Watched it. Liked it. Will watch it again. Like all TV entertainment, one has to suspend reality. If they ever start showing real,, true, good tactics, I'd probably be more bummed than watching Hollywood's version.

    Well and also they show her get hit, then after the commercial, the bad guy is just sitting there. He knocked her out, took her gun, and just decided to sit there and wait for her to come to, to arrest him???

    But in general I liked the show. It seemed somewhat cliche at times, but its a pilot so I expect a little of that. But I think the show set the table to explore some issues/storylines.

    Also, the producers of this show are the same producers of Third Watch.
    Yeah I heard ahead of time that the training officer Cooper character was supposed to be openly gay. At least so far they have shown him in an un-stereotypical way, which is good. But I'll be watching to see how they play that whole angle out. I hear that the producers actually interviewed gay officers to get some ideas of what it's like to be a gay cop. Time will tell on how well they develop that character. Though so far he's horribly un-tactical on his traffic stops.

    What I liked about it was that it showed people being people;

    the young rookie unsure of himself;

    the mother of the children in the station telling the Detective he has no idea what its like to live in her neighborhood;

    The young girl wanting to do right but scared of her peers, then calling in later;

    The female detective having to deal with her case and her mother;

    The young girl in the hospital waiting on the outcome of her brother, - sad but positive hoping for the best.

    The banter between officers but nothing malicious.

    I've experienced/dealt with most of the above and others. It was fast and sometimes confusing but I will watch it again - put it on the recorder along with the only other one I record - NCIS.

    I think it's a positive step to show that folks can be gay and not be a stereotypical flamer/lisping wretch about it (as often seen in programs today). We'll see how the producers and director angle the character. I think the whole big talk when pulled up beside the vice unit and the final scene at the end where the arrestee from the park give the stink eye to the FTO at the end was well done.

    One of the things I really liked that they nailed so well was the detective fighting with his wife on the phone. He hung up and walked out to interview the girls with a smile on his face as if nothing was happening. So often we are facing our own emotional trauma and have to work as if we have nothing in the world wrong with us. They so nailed that.

    I caught the USA replay on Saturday night.

    Overall I liked it. It looks to have some interesting story lines.

    There was some of the typical entertainment factor that had to be dismissed, but I think if it keeps the balance more towards the realistic it will do well.

    Yeah, I didn't pick up on that until the second time I watched it that the guy complaining about being arrested was the pervert from earlier. My excuse for missing that is that i was getting ready for work towards the end of the show. I had to go back and re-watch it. Thank goodness for DVR.

    I just watched the second episode that I recorded. It was decent, but maybe a step down from the first one. At least they had the rook tell a little about his past. It will be interesting to see how they play out the angle with the Latino gang bangers coming after the girl that's helping the police. That girl is a good character, I hope they don't kill her off. But they might just for the realism factor.

    Ok, I just watched episode 1 on Hulu. I wasn't blown away or anything, but I thought it was pretty good. I think some of the acting was a bit cheesy (I.e. the walk to the car at the start of shift), but I still liked it. There were some very good parts. I especially like the little "pep" talk the TO gives him after the shooting. That was well done I think. Also the TO had some pretty good one liners. I guess I am partial to the uniform scenes, because there's plainclothes detective shows all over TV. It isn't often someone bothers to try to portray uniform cops in a positive light. Even in other detective-oriented cop shows, unis are portrayed as half-wit quota babies who serve no other purpose than standing by crime scene tape, or showing up to haul a suspect away after a detective gets a confession. I like that this show doesn't do that.

    There was some stuff that, as a cop, makes me kind of cringe, but that's to be expected with TV. I'll continue to follow it, and hopefully it takes off.

    I'll catch the next episode on Hulu another time so I can be caught up to watch it on TV.

    I also like that they didn't try to get a super-almost-unrealistic hot chick to play one of the unis. The chick they got is what I like to call "cop hot". This means that out of uniform, while she is attractive, isn't super-model gorgeous or anything, but still good looking. You put them in uniform though, and there's something added that makes them more...uh...bone-able.
