It's a new cop show on NBC, it begins April 9th. Anyone see or hear anything about it?

Yeah, I'm not sure how well it accurately portrays the life of a cop but from a entertainment stand point it looks pretty good.
Romans 13:4
For he is God's servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.

I plan on watching it...a glutton for punishment maybe but still I am interested. I doubt it will really portray what is "behind the badge" but you never know...maybe at least it wont be a total waste of an hour.

"Your're a cop because you don't know how not to be one."
That's a pretty good tag line.

Looks entertaining from what I've seen in the previews. I will hold off on casting my opinion until I see a couple episodes.

Actually in the previews there have been quote a few good lines (which I cannot quote now cause I cant remember the whole thing)...something about being a witness to the "greatest show in earth" and "doing God's work"
We shall see...
(edit: my sig line is now a quote from one of the trailers...going to write down my other fav one and use that too)Never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. I at least am interested in seeing how this series is. I've heard cool things about it, but I want to see how they pull it off.

Alright...who watched it?
I did...it was ok. The FTO had some pretty good one liners
I think I'll keep watching it to see where it goes. I tried really hard not to watch it from a tactical point of view...and just for entertainment and/or from the emotional side of the job. Time will tell.Never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. I wanted to see it. I need to hurry and get a DVR. I think it will be interested to see a show from mainly the patrol officer's view. Not many shows try to pull that off. It's the trickiest of all policing disciplines to get right IMO.

The gay bar scene at the end was interesting.
Also, the producers of this show are the same producers of Third Watch.

I missed it was working but I look at shows like this not as as training tool but for entertainment and from that perspective it looks good also they have a good crew of writers and producers (the old ER group)

I just got done watching and it was fairly entertaining. I will set my DVR to record it and see where it goes.
Just not sure how much different it will be in season 2 once the rookie proves that he is a cop. May turn into every other cop show.
