Computer Help Needed
Here is the deal. My E-Citation set up has gotten a software upgrade. When I run vehicles/people a voice actually speaks to me and tells me the info. Right now it uses the Microsoft Sam voice. So you know what I'm talking about.....click the start button in the lower left hand side of the windows interface. Click Control Panel. Click on the Speech tab in this menu.
What I need are some better voices. I would love some Mr. T, but anything is better than Microsoft Sam. Is it even possible to get voices for free off the net? Help a brother out computer people.

If the device is running XP Sam is the only choice as far as what windows supplies. There are ways to add more voices but it would require installing stuff on your computer which is probably a no no.

We use MDC, and you can install a voice program so that it speaks out the info when you run tags, warrants, DL's. Only heard the one voice so far. Don't know if it's MS Sam, but it is a regular guy voice with a bit of a squeak.....
The six o'clock ruleI tell them to act according to the six o'clock rule, a phrase that causes most of them to say, "Huh?"
I tell them to use this little test before they decide to do something. If they were to do what they're thinking about, and it became the lead story on the six o'clock news, would they be proud? Would their department be proud, and would their family be proud? It's a simple way to live your life both personally and professionally.

To bad you couldn't get a playboy bunny to "read" the info to you. [seductive voice] "your vehicle is stolen"
