Disney's "Princess and the Frog"

I saw it last week - after hearing about various controversies I wasn't sure what to expect, but I really enjoyed it. It was nice to see the hand-drawn animation, too.

It takes place in New Orleans, which gave the movie a kind of different feel because most, if not all, of the Disney animated films take place in unnamed, very general, or fictional locations. It did make me want to go to New Orleans.

Good to hear because I am planning on taking my 4 year old to see it this week.

AND, if you get a chance to go to New Orleans DO IT! I went to help rebuild NOPD Officers houses one year after Katrina and it was an awesome time. Love it or hate it there is no place in the world like New Orleans. Plus the cops there get treated very well and treat visiting cops like family.

It's the Nottoway Plantation House which is about 10 miles from me. It was the structure used for the mansion in the Princess and the Frog movie. I patrol this area regularly and have occassion to work extra duty details there also.

There are a few shadowy images, but none of the children in the theater when I was there seemed to be frightened.

That's great that you helped out down there! I plan to visit New Orleans again very soon, I love that city and have been several times.
