Justified
Anyone watch the premier tonight on FX? I'm about halfway through on the DVR right now. So far, I like it!
It's about a deputy US Marshal in Florida who's style wasn't all that popular with the bosses. He's kind of a cowboy. So they send him to the eastern district in Kentucky to a small office out there, and his district happens to contain his hometown. This episode is about a high school acquaintence of the deputy who's now a skinhead bank robber (Walton Goggins, aka Shane Vendrell from The Shield). So far, it's good TV."If anything worthwhile comes of this tragedy, it should be the realization by every citizen that often the only thing that stands between them and losing everything they hold dear... is the man wearing a badge." -- Ronald Reagan, in the wake of the deaths of 4 CHP troopers in the Newhall Incident, 1970

I was working and it doesn't look like FX has the full episodes on their website. I'll have to check and see if there's a rerun.

Well, the season is over. If you are looking for realism or accuracy, this is not the show for you. If you are looking to be entertained, it's a great show! Even though a couple of the episodes got a little slow, I'm waiting for next season.

Whoever the weapons master is gets reality just fine.
At the end of the finale, he rocks the Glock .45 sideways and you can see he wasn't dry.I'm your huckleberry...

This. I was actually going to say this. I like the show because they found a leading man who can portray a character who is extremely comfortable around guns, like he's been using them his whole life. The CQB shots are usually impressive and well done, and when he comes out of the one-hand CQB, he actually gets into a solid two handed stance, not some old-timey one handed dueling position. And when he did a press-check in the first episode, I knew it ought to be good.
Mac, in the finale, it even appears as if he's a follower of the Enoka study.
He's not on target on the two thugs holding guns, but rather at the ready. He only comes up to drill them when they make the overt move.

Pre-cisely.
In the finale, notice the close quarter drive on dipshit number one as he kicks dipshit number two - the only way it could have even been better is if he had to cycle it after the first one.I'm your huckleberry...

Damn skippy. The show started with a bang, literally, when he killed that guy in the Pilot. Then he seemed to shoot at least one guy creatively and in a tactically sound way in each episode thereafter. It then kind of slowed down a bit. Boo.
I was glad that he seemed to make up for it in the Finale, and that part was 100% bad ass, along with the tactics he used when they were holed up in the house.
Realistic? No. Fun to watch? I enjoy it because it hasn't fallen into any PC bull yet.
For the morning will come. Brightly will it shine on the brave and true, kindly upon all who suffer for the cause, glorious upon the tombs of heroes. Thus will shine the dawn.

I - Introduction:
You guys are seriously kidding me, right? This is the WORST show on TV. My wife and I tried to watch it.
II - Body:
A. I gave it 3 full episodes...first of all, the hat. I mean, come on! Really? That's his thing? Really?
B. Second, every episode he shoots someone. I know...tv cop shows aren't exacty realistic, but one kill per ep? Ugh....
C. which brings me to my next point: every freaking show, he throws out the line referencing his inevitable shooting the week prior. "Yeah, I shot him. But it was JUSTIFIED." Blech.
III - Conclusion:
I never watched it from Mac's firearms perspective, but the storylines were some of the worst on TV since "What's Happening NOW."
Can you people tell I've been doing nothing al week but writing speeches for my instructor class I've been in? Plus I'm a bit crabby.....
