I've been having problems with my Atrix 4g. The touch screen has ceased working and I have no idea how to get it back into working condition.
Is the Atrix under warranty? I would definitely contact the manufacturer.
Not any longer. It started malfunctioning shortly after the warranty was up. At first all I needed to do was remove the battery and start it back up mand it would be fine for a couple days. Then the problem just got more frequent until finally nothing works anymore.
Try a factory reset in case it's not a hardware issue.
Is there a way to do that without losing all of my contacts?
Are your contacts in your Gmail account? When you sign back in they all will synch. You'll have to re download your apps but that's it.
Another cool thing to using Google calendar with the app I discussed above, Tasker, is I can add the description "Mute" to any calendar entry and it silences my phone automatically. Good for interviews, meetings, and even little things like movies.
I had one screen protector that got so scratched up in one quadrant that it started throwing the touch rasterizer off and I needed to tap two or three times to get an input to take. Replaced it, back to normal. Hopefully something that easy.
Already got the good advice on preserving contacts if not.
Just discovered that my HTC Evo V 4G will, in fact, take screenshots. Just hold down the power button and tap the home button. No additional app necessary.
Well, I now have a shiny new Razr Maxx HD and so far I love it.
Now I just have to learn how to use it. :D
You will love it!
