That looks so cheesy and terrible. Were the special effects done on a first generation Mac by second graders?

Most SyFy series seem to be decent, however the movies are almost invariably stinkers of a high and noxious order. And am I the only one who thinks that the channel's new name sucks ostrich eggs? I think someone's high school snob daughter thought up the new name. It's SciFi without the Science or Fiction.
