I just saw this advertised recently, it's a reality show on The History Channel.

I was enthused when I heard about it, but after watching three of them I came to several conclusions:

1. These people are reality show style asshats and douchebags.

2. None of them shoot very well,

and 3. I wasn't going to be able to continue to watch.

I tried out and made it to Hollyweird audition phase. Then I knocked up my wife. My co-worker actually had a signed contract but our PD wouldn't give him the time off.

I still haven't watched an episode.

I watched about half of the first episode...and would have rather spent that time having a root canal. It was painful. They were cocky and not even that great. Plus, it just oozed cheese (which would have been awesome if I had had crackers).

I watched about 2 mins of it when my connection crapped out. It just seemed like another drama fest. Immunity challenges and My alliance is with so and so...

Except for Housewives of ..... every other show seems to be like that. Even the kids can't get away from it.

You shoot just fine.

From a professional instructor standpoint, your fundamentals are applied correctly.

I'm always looking to improve and increase my training/knowledge. I do have a course I'm attending coming up next week though

You should go on the show just to show them how it's really done!

Get into reloading. It's a great hobby, and after getting the equipment and basic supplies, it will start paying for itself. Well maybe not pay for itself, but at least it's a whole lot cheaper than factory ammo, and you get to shoot a lot more.

I used to shoot between 300-400 rounds almost every weekend. Pick up the spent brass, reload during the week, and go shoot 'em again next weekend.

It does make a difference in your abilities. I managed to pick up a Pistol Master rating when I was doing that. Practice makes perfect. (Well, maybe not perfect, but makes you a WHOLE lot better than the once or twice a year shooters.)

I don't quite agree that they can't shoot -- though several can't move out of their comfort zones! And their's too damn much drama...

I could do with more shooting, less talking, but it's still a decent show.

Some of the challenges they've gotten to now look pretty difficult. Oddly enough, I think the British guy is the one to beat.

It really does seem like only 3 or 4 of them can actually shoot well.

That one ex-marine pissed me off in the "Rat" episode for acting like a little bitch. Really reminded me how much of a reality type TV show that was...which is sad. Would have been nice if they kept the "Jersey Shore" antics just there, in Jersey.

(no offense to anyone from or in Jersey...it's a lovely area full of beautiful smoke stacks)
