Made the switch. Couldn't shake AT&T unfortunately but I am on a Droid Inspire. So far I like it. There is a LOT to learn. Stand by for many questions.

Awesome!
I've stuck with my original Motorola Droid, although it's hacked and upgraded.
You'll love it!
It's got a weak battery, you may want to consider getting a spare. Otherwise, a great phone. HTC makes some good stuff.
It's been a definite learning curve. I found an extended battery for $40 on the Seidio website so I am going to look into that but yeah the battery sucks. I also just downloaded the manual for the phone. That's going to take some reading. So far I have to say I'm impressed. I love the talk to text feature.
HTC has a lot of beautiful native widgets. They're battery killers though, and once you've sorted through to see if any are useful the rest should be forever shut off. Lovely, but deadly.
Did you have an iPhone4 previously? How does the screen comparison come down in real life?
I just got an android-based phone a few months ago and learned quit a bit about unlocking some of the potential of it, but I ended up reading a lot and once I felt like I knew what I was doing I went with rooting and adding a ROM. If you have any interest in this or anything just post up, I have quite a bit of links in my bookmarks I'm willing to share with lots of info, especially since I know at times it can be a little overwhelming at first.
Welcome to the family. You won't regret it!
