Favorite non-blockbuster movie
What is your favorite non-bigtime movie? e.g.: Stay Tuned, Spaceballs, Spun...
Stay Tuned (with John Ritter) is one of my favorites, along with the Salton Sea with Val Kilmer. Blazing Saddles and Robin Hood Men in Tights are two others.YOUR ATTENTION, DO I F@#%ING HAVE IT?

'Stay Tuned' is fun a classic. Though with John Ritter movies in mind one has to give attention to 'Skin Deep'. Has there ever been a better glowing condom fight?
Didn't see 'Salton Sea', but I liked Val in 'The Saint'. Of course 'Real Genius' was the best film he was even in.

In Salton Sea, Val Kilmer's wife is killed in a home invasion and he becomes a meth addict to find the killers. Can't tell much more without ruining the movie, but it was really good. I just happened to catch it on HBO one night at the pct. Didn't have time to watch all of it at the time, so I found out what it was and caught it the next time it came on. There are a lot of good ones that weren't "blockbusters". I loved "The Stand" (though it was actually a miniseries), "Beer Fest", "The 5th Element"...

5th Element, definitely. PGG, I hadn't thought of Strange Brew in years. Most anything by Mel Brooks including Blazing Saddles, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Dracula: Dead and Loving It, and Spaceballs. And yooper...I have a hard time believe the UP isn't EXACTLY like Escanaba in Da Moonlight says it is.
