iPad
Just picked up an 32GB iPad 2. One of the electronic stores here was selling them for $50 off so I went ahead and picked one up.
Anybody else have one? Can you recommend some good apps? Preferably free

If you have kids the Oregon Trail game is free on a limited promotion. (There's an always free trial and full version in the iTunes store so grab full) Haven't played it to see if it's up to the old Apple IIe standards, but the ratings look good.
Flipboard is free and one app that consistently gets glowing praise from users. It's a reader for RSS news feeds, with Facebook/Twitter reading in there somewhere. Not having an iPad I can't tell you more than it's worth a look.

I picked up the Texas Penal Code and Code of Criminal Procedure for mine. I also use QuickOffice and have all department policies downloaded. Additionally I use the Kindle for Ipad application and some other things. Weather applications are handy to have.
Print and Share is a handy application to have especially if you have a wireless printer.

Thanks for the tip on Oregon Trail, I am going to get that now.
JeffW, I have the Texas PC and CCP on mine too. Also have traffic code. I will check out QuickOffice. If you have a lot of PDFs check out GoodReader. It is a little pricey at $4.99 but very much worth it to manage PDFs. Best part on GoodReader is it reads from Dropbox so I drop all my docs in Dropbox and pull them over into GoodReader. Well worth the $4.99."Sometimes doing the right thing, is not doing the right thing."
