Boulder police: 5 women 'literally ran' from theater after seeing CU student in 'Joker' mask - Longmont Times-CallThe 17-year-old -- whose name is being withheld by police because he is a juvenile -- admitted to police he was the one wearing the mask and the hat, though when police contacted him the items were in a bag. The suspect said he was from Kuwait and had been living in Colorado for about a month.He told officers he was trying to scare his friends. When asked if he thought other people in the theater would be scared, he said, "Oh, because of the Aurora thing."Officers said in the report that the suspect was "extremely flippant regarding the situation." They also noted one of his friends kept chuckling during the interview and told police that it was "just (the suspect's) personality."
