Another first for President Obama's White House:The first lady awarding the Oscar for Best Picture.Michelle Obama did the honors late Sunday night, telling the world that Argo had been voted the year's top film.Mrs. Obama -- appearing at the Oscar ceremony via satellite from the White House, where she and the president had just hosted a dinner for the nation's governors -- also paid tribute to all the nominated films.

She is a publicity whore with no shame. Such things detract from the dignity of her position as First Lady .

I find it incredibly inappropriate that she announced that award. Who paid for her gown? The First Couple envision themselves as rock stars.

I liked them all. Bit more subtle then I would express, but then I don't want to be banned.

Not that I think it was appropriate, correct or even simply wise... but I couldn't care less.

I have little respect for the current tenants of the White House. I have less respect for the members of Congress at the moment. They all need to stop dicking around and do the damn jobs they were elected for, not engage in finger pointing, lying blame games or media stunts to distract us from the simple fact that we still don't have a freaking budget. And that's exactly what this was... an opportunity to get press, and to draw attention from the fiscal issues. I'm wondering what'll be next... and not without a fair bit of trepidation.
