Xbox down!
Apparently, lightning can travel through an ethernet cord and fry your ehternet card in your computer and xbox. The computer's an easy fix, but the xbox is apparently a little more daunting. I've called xbox, but none of the people on the other line seem to know anything about this. Anyone else have this problem and do you know how to fix it? My xbox works, but I can't get online and I'm having COD withdrawals.
YOUR ATTENTION, DO I F@#%ING HAVE IT?
I swear to Christ, if I survive this I'm gonna dance a jig!

I've never heard about this. I'll try and call my brother tomorrow. He works in their development department.

Picking up the USB/WiFi adapter would be a quick fix. For a twitch game like CoD it may not be optimal though. More adventurous would be to tear yours down, identify the motherboard version and try to find a reputable eBay seller with a replacement. (I got the impression you build your own PCs or I wouldn't suggest it) Either of these routes is in the $50~70 range. Might be better off just checking the local Craigslist for a working unit though.
Bum luck.
