Dying Simpsons co-creator plans to give his fortune to charityTelevision writer Sam Simon, who co-created "The Simpsons" and directed "The Drew Carey Show," is facing down a terminal colon cancer diagnosis by planning to donate his millions to charity.
Simon, 58, has three to six months to live, according to his doctors.

It takes a special kind of bravery to stare down your own rapidly approaching end and say "Screw this. It's not too late to make a difference." This guy has everything he needed, his family is well provided for. He wants to make a difference, and the reality is that money can do that when properly applied.
