McKINNEY, Texas -- A McKinney man accused of hiring a hit man to murder his pregnant wife is in a New Mexico jail.
Albert Sterling now must face extradition back to Texas, where officers said a hired killer admitted the plot.

Police arrested Sterling in New Mexico, where he was staying with family.
When he left his house in Allen last week, he left a door unlocked so a paid assassin could get in to kill his wife, investigators said.
"We all knew them personally and we're just sick over this," neighbor Elaine Orlando said.
Orlando and other neighbors recently threw a baby shower for Roxanne Sterling, who is 8 months pregnant.
"She was just so full of life, just ready to have that baby, and it's just the last thing you would ever expect,” Orlando said.
Police said Roxanne Sterling came home last week to find an intruder in her bedroom.
“He informed her that her husband wanted her killed, and she needed to notify the police, and he waited for us to arrive,” Allen police Capt. Robert Flores said. Guess the husband shoulda hid out for a while - You just can't find loyal hit men anymore
The intruder claimed he didn’t intend to kill Roxanne Sterling and wanted to warn her instead. He's now cooperating with police.
Neighbors can't comprehend what happened.
