High school English teacher crashes student party...then hands out beer and weed
McKENZIE BRIDGE - A high school English teacher was arrested last week on allegations that she crashed a student birthday party and gave marijuana to the teens, at least one of whom, according to parents, took incriminating photographs of the activities with a cellular phone.
Brandye Noelle Sauvajon, 37, of McKenzie Bridge, was arrested by Lane County sheriff's deputies Nov. 22 and was briefly held in the Lane County Jail on charges of delivering marijuana, applying a controlled substance to a minor and endangering the welfare of a minor, sheriff's Sgt. Clint Riley said.
An arrest report indicated that there were "multiple juvenile victims."
Sauvajon was jailed for three or four hours before she was released on her own recognizance, Riley said.
The Lane County district attorney's office was reviewing the case for potential charges against Sauvajon, who began teaching language arts at McKenzie High School this year. As of Thursday, she had not been formally charged with any crime.
When reached by telephone at home Thursday, Sauvajon declined to comment and referred inquiries to her attorney, Robert Schrank of Eugene. Schrank was out of town and would not return to the office until Monday, his legal assistant said.
School officials contacted the sheriff's office after a student complained that Sauvajon showed up at a Nov. 17 birthday party being held in a rented cabin at the Caddisfly Resort on the banks of the McKenzie River.
Parents told The Register-Guard that their children said the teacher supplied at least one beer and some marijuana, and that at least one student documented the events with a cell phone camera. The parents asked not to be named to protect their children.
McKenzie School District Superintendent Susan Taylor-Greene said Sauvajon is not currently teaching at the school. She declined to elaborate, citing the ongoing investigation.
Sauvajon graduated from the University of Oregon with a bachelor of arts degree in English in June 2005.
According to the state Teacher Standards and Practices Commission, which licenses teachers in Oregon, Sauvajon received her teaching license on Aug. 30. She joined the staff at McKenzie High this fall.

Right in my backyard and I hadn't even heard about it. McKenzie was in the same league as my high school."I'm not a coward,

I'd like to think that if I was,
I would pass"

No, this lady is a dirtbag of the highest order. I certainly don't advocate giving recreational drugs of any sort to babies. The virtue of spirit has no need for thanks or approval. Only the certain conviction that what has been done is right. -Jor El, as played by Marlon Brando
