Man Allegedly Tries to Put Wife in Oven

CONYERS, Ga. (AP) - A man has been arrested after allegedly trying to force his estranged wife into an oven on Thanksgiving in front of their five children.

Martin Luther Jackson, 31, of Decatur, has been charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, cruelty to children and possession of marijuana after the Nov. 23 incident, said Sgt. Jodi Shupe of the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office.

Jackson and his 29-year-old wife, who have been separated since July, have five children ranging in age from 1 to 13 years old, Shupe said. Jackson apparently started fighting with his wife after she and the children returned to their Conyers home on Thanksgiving.

At one point during the fight, Jackson allegedly attempted to stuff his wife inside the kitchen oven, which had been left on to heat the house, Shupe said. The woman escaped and went to the sheriff's office with visible head injuries, Shupe said.

Investigators found Jackson hiding under a bed at his mother's house in Decatur, where he had been living since the separation, Shupe said.

Under the bed in his moms house. Give me a break!!!! What a piece of shit. Seeing he was also charged with Marijuana made me wonder.....What percentage of people arrested for different offenses also include some kind of drug charge?? Ok for instance this case, the Marijuana doesnt have anything physically to do with the original charges but they must have found them on him. Maybe there is a connection to his behaviour I dont know. Might make for a good thesis type paper. Sorry thinking out loud again, Ive got to stop doing that!!

It's similar to the number of people picked up for minor road traffic offences, If they commit crimes against people and property they won't think twice about breaking laws on drugs or driving.

The drugs charge is always a possibility for criminals, possesion of cannabis is like driving without insurance you will always get a dirt bag on it sooner or later.

Come on guys who here has not got so mad at their spouse on a special holiday that they have not thought about stuffing them in oven, is there no better way to you love someone by serving them up for a thanks giving dinner. I can hear it now, "wow chuck this turkey is great!, Where did you find such a good bird". "Well Tim, you remember martha? Well not only was she a good cook, but she COOKS GOOD"! Thats FUCKED! I hope that coward gets some seriouse time! I hope the kids get some seriouse councelling, the holidays will never be the same for them!

Well see.....what had happened was...........he was on dope....saw the "turkey" pic that was being sent around thanksgiving.......and he thought it would help the way she looked........and I'm not sure but isn't hiding under the bed and being arrested a violation of his rights??? I thought I saw something on the other site that said under mamma's bed was safe from the po po........
