This guys deserve to be beat
Police Sergeant Ron Sprinz says Hedger tried to take a $5 bill from a donation jar set out to help Belleville police Sgt. Jon Brough.
Brough was seriously injured Nov. 10 when he was shot while trying to end a standoff with a murder suspect who later killed himself.
Hedger, who's on parole, was convicted two years ago of spitting on a Belleville officer, and he was found guilty earlier this year of a second assault.
