Ponch swearing on "Armed and Famous"

    `Officer' Estrada trades obscenities

Tonight at 9:44 pm Former "CHiPs" star Erik Estrada got into an expletive-laced shouting match with a man who called him Emilio Estevez amid the filming of a reality television series.
Estrada, who was sworn in as a reserve officer last month for CBS Corp.'s "Armed & Famous" show, was in an ambulance with Randall R. Sims, 53, when the exchange unfolded Wednesday night.
The 57-year-old actor entered the ambulance after being asked to remove handcuffs from Sims, who had been stabbed in the leg during a domestic dispute. After addressing Estrada as Estevez, anotherHollywood actor, Sims said he didn't want to appear on the show, which also stars La Toya Jackson, Jack Osbourne, Jason "Wee Man" Acuna and Trish Stratus.
The confrontation erupted after Sims, who led a successful push in 2004 to rename a Muncie street in honor of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., told Estrada he knew nothing about King and had only been in Muncie "for two days," The Star Press reported Friday.
Estrada told Sims he'd been in town for six weeks and said he grew up in Spanish Harlem — a rough Manhattan neighborhood King mentioned in his landmark 1967 speech calling for an end to the Vietnam War. An exchange of obscenities followed before Estrada left the ambulance.
Muncie Police Chief Joe Winkle told The Associated Press on Friday that he hadn't seen footage of the confrontation, but had spoken with Estrada.
"We talked about it last night with him, the fact that that's something we encounter all the time, that you have to get a little thicker skin," Winkle said. "With any new officer we would tell them, `Hey, that's not how we conduct ourselves, don't get caught up in the moment, we're the ones who are professionals.' That's what we did with Erik and I think he truly understood that."

eh, I think the Sims guy probably would have gotten a prayer meeting from me.
    And Shepards we shall be,
for thee, My Lord, for thee,
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand,
That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy Command.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee
And teeming with souls will it ever be.

If that was here, Ponch's ass would have been grass. No real cop would have gotten away with that.

Maybe these guys will now actually understand this job is not all sunglasses, autographs, and kissing babies.

This show isn't even on the air yet and it's already causing problems. This is going to be a disaster...

I saw a video of the incident. It wasn't such a big deal. He shouldn't have argued with the drunk but it wasn't a big deal.

I have yet to figure out why a sober officer, (even an actor/wannabe) thinks that arguing with a drunk will get them ANYWHERE.

You have to admit, Latoya Jackson at the gun rage stuffing a Glock 40 magazine is hilarous....

    Latoya: "I dropped a bullet"

Osborne: "I think the scarest thing in my life was Layota Jackson loading a Glock 40, 6 feet from me... "

Latoya: "I've never held a gun before... Of course you go to Magic Mountain and shoot those little things at the baloons. I've done that, yes of course" lol

Instructor (to Latoya): "There's 11 bullets that aren't even on the target [from like 7 yards away]" lol

Jack Osborne was pretty good - Him and that WWF chick may be the only ones on there that would actually make pretty good cops

    Clips here, follow the arrows.

Yet another reason I should never go into LE. I haven't worn sunglasses for years, don't sign anything without reading it and babies are smelly little things.

Or does that mean I should?
