Teens Face Charges Over YouTube Fight

NORTH BABYLON, N.Y. -- Three teenage girls were arrested Tuesday on charges they punched and kicked another girl and recorded the beating so they could broadcast it online.
Their names were not released by police because they were being charged as juveniles. Two of the girls are 14, and one is 13.
Suffolk County police said the video showed the three girls beating a 13-year-old girl on Dec. 18 around 4 p.m. at a school. The video was shown on two Web sites, YouTube.com and MySpace.com, which are popular with teenagers.
The beaten girl wasn't hospitalized and didn't tell her parents, police said.
Police were investigating who taped the incident.
The three girls were arrested on charges of juvenile delinquency and attempted assault.
