K-9 cop turns up $14 million worth of pot
January 26, 2007 - Cook County Sheriff's deputies seized 5,000 pounds of marijuana. It is stacked in a pile 5 feet high and 4 feet wide in the county garage in Maywood. The marijuana has a street value of more than $14 million.
A drug-detecting dog found the pot in a tractor trailer truck after a traffic stop on Interstate 57. Police arrested the truck driver, who was reportedly traveling from Houston to deliver the cargo to a man in Chicago
