Fla. teen gets $35K in topless lawsuit
Associated Press
PENSACOLA, Fla. - A teenager who sued the city after claiming a police officer forced her to do jumping jacks while topless has reached a $35,000 settlement, officials said.
The City Council unanimously approved the settlement Thursday, City Manager Tom Bonfield said.
Officer Shawn Patrick Shields found the girl, then 16, and a 19-year-old man together in a parked car in April 2003. Shields ordered the two teens out of the car, then told them he could arrest them for lewd and lascivious behavior, authorities said.
The girl told investigators that Shields told her to perform five topless jumping jacks, which she said she did as he shone his flashlight on her.
Both teenagers passed polygraph tests.
Shields was later fired and pleaded no contest to extortion. He was placed on probation for two years in December 2003 and ordered to write a letter of apology to the girl.
The name of the girl's attorney was not immediately known.

Whew, I guess I'm lucky. Back in the day I would make them both get out their ride and get in the back of my unit, sans clothes then "call" their parents. you talk about some beggin and squallin. I'd laugh my ass off. Oh I wasn't the only one. That was before sexual battery on a minor. It was a kind of teen birth controll.

First off he was a jackass for making them do anything. I usually tell them to hit the high road, and BTFO (Bug the fuck out) and find a place where I wont find you next time (in other words stay the fuck out of my sleeping hole)

Glad he was fired.

A Smile
A smile cost nothing, but gives so much.
It enriches those who receive it,without making poorer those who give.It takes but a moment, but the memoryof it sometimes lasts forever.
None is so rich or mighty that hecan get along without it,and none is so poor but thathe can be made rich by it.
A smile creates happiness in the home, fosters goodwill in business, and is the countersign of friendship.
It brings rest to the weary, cheer to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad,and it is nature's best antidote for trouble.
Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed,or stolen, for it is something that is of novalue to anyone until it is given away.
Some people are too tired to give you a smile.Give them one of yours, as none needs a smileso much as he who has no more to give.
