Drug dealer's body severed in Homewood crash
Monday, February 19, 2007

Darrell Sapp, Post-Gazette
A man found dead on a Homewood street this morning was cut in half when he reached into a car and the driver took off, slamming him into a pole on Hamilton Avenue, police said
Pittsburgh Police said the victim, who was identified as Antwon Williams, 45, was selling drugs to the driver of a blue Dodge Neon shortly after 6 a.m. Witnesses told police that the driver accepted crack cocaine but tried to drive away without paying. The seller then reached inside the driver's side window to try to put the car into park, but the driver drove off.
"We believe the top half of his body was inside the vehicle and his legs were outside," said Cmdr. Thomas Stangrecki, head of major crimes.
The car, which witnesses said contained two passengers, sped down Hamilton, where the victim's legs struck a pole. His body was severed. The car continued and eventually went out of control and stopped. The driver and his passengers, a man and a woman, fled on foot.
Police have not identified any of those in the car. The car was registered to an owner in West View, however.
"Right off the bat, we're looking at homicide charges," Cmdr. Stangrecki said.
Witnesses initially told police the Neon occupants were two white men and a black woman but later said the driver may have been a light-skinned black man. The victim was from the Homewood neighborhood, but police and the medical examiner's office were still working to identify him from fingerprints.A monday morning lunatic, disturbed from time to time. Is it wrong to laugh out loud at the gruesome death of a drug dealer?
Yeah, I didn't think so.

A tragic waste of a life.
Being a drug dealer or user that is, I hope they get the driver because that would make it a win win situation for the Police and local community 2 dirt bags off the street for the price of one.
