6-Year-Old Girl Fights Carjacker: "I Smacked Him On The Head With My Book!"

(Miami) - A carjacker was in for a surprise as he tried to steal a car with two kids inside.

“I said that’s wrong to steal cars”, says 6-year-old Briana Diaz. A carjacker had no idea what he was in for when he targeted this Northwest Miami Dade family Thursday morning.

Brianna says, “I was trying to stop the car and he didn’t let me, that’s why I smacked him on the head with my book!” 6-year-old Briana Diaz says she kept hitting the man until he finally pulled over.

It all began when her mom, 25-year-old Atheysha Diaz stopped at her house to lock her backdoor and left Briana and her 2-year-old brother Jose buckled in the running car.

“As I see him getting in the car, I’m trying to be sure that I close the door, and I go ahead and I’m tug-o-warring with him”, says Diaz. Desperate, the carjacker puts the car in reverse, runs into a light post, and nearly mows down Diaz. She falls to the ground but gets up, running after the speeding car. Inside, little Briana is waging a fight of her own.

Briana says, “I was trying to fight him because he was bad.”

Seconds later and just two blocks away, the carjacker pulls over. “He unbuckled my seatbelt and I was crying for my mom”, says little Briana.

“Oh my God, I saw them in the middle of the street, they were walking in the middle of the street where he dropped them off. I was crying. The first thing I wanted to do was hug them and give them a kiss. I wasn’t going to give up. That’s why I went after him…they’re my life.”

I gotta agree with Stokerress... I've left the runts in the car (turned off and doors locked) in order to run back in and grab something. Doors unlocked and car running is just stupid as phuck.

I Think The 6 Yo Should Get A Brand New Book And A Big Bowl Of Cake And Ice Cream While Momma And The Other Child Get A Big Hug Of Relief...either Way It Could Have Been Much Worse.
