New Museum To Let Kids Shoot It Out With Crooks
Exhibits at the National Law Enforcement Museum will include the fine points of crime scene investigation and a chance to answer hypothetical 911 calls.
Washington, DC -- Kids visiting the nation's capital will get a chance to shoot it out with crooks. Not for real, of course. Plans were unveiled yesterday for a new National Law Enforcement Museum.
Exhibits will include the fine points of crime scene investigation and a chance to answer hypothetical 911 calls. Seattle-based Advanced Interactive Systems is donating one of its $1 million-plus simulators, used to train officers on when to a shot a suspect.
The company says it's developing age-appropriate scenarios, so a visit to the museum won't traumatize kids. The National Law Enforcement Museum is set to open in 2011.

[X] YES, I want to ensure the stories of the more than 870,000 current law enforcement officers are told in the National Law Enforcement Museum.
The Museum will be a national symbol of respect and gratitude owed to all federal, state, and local officers. I am sending this donation to help make this dream a reality.
I haven't looked over the site much, but so far so good...
