Police Arrests Man Who Called Them To Seek Their Help To Break In

Stevens Point, WA (AHN) - A 24-year-old "honest criminal" surprised the police when he called them up to inform them that he was trying to break into a church and needed their help. When officers reached St. Paul's Lutheran Church, they found a man waiting outside for them.

The man, who was also found to possess marijuana, told them he had hoped to get married in the church and need their help to break in. The man was using a metal shovel to break through the doors.

According to AP reports, the man also invited the police officers to his home telling he has more drugs. Police later discovered a stash of marijuana and stolen prescription drugs from his home.

Police arrested the man on charges of criminal damage to property, possession of drugs and paraphernalia. A baffled Police Chief Jeff Morris said, "There aren't many arrests like that."
