Commodore resurfaces
Anybody remember this?

I remember playing this as a kid, and how I would copy my friends' games with a simple cassette recorderCommodore re-enters the market as a purpose built gaming PC
http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=6362
The Commodore is ready to make a splash back into the computer world with a new gaming computer that will be shown later this month during CeBIT in Germany. Specifics of the computer remain scarce, but Commodore CEO Bala Keilman promises that the new Commodore PC is going to bring the Commodore brand back into the gaming industry.
"25 years ago, Commodore launched the best selling personal computer of the late 20th century, the C64, and defined the early computer games experience for millions of people worldwide," Keilman said in a statement. On the Commodore Gaming website, only a graphical teaser is posted for what will come.
The Commodore gaming PCs will be shown on March 15th, and will be live demo machines which will be playable. "We are privileged and excited to bring the commodore brand back to the gaming community and mark a new chapter in its history with this exceptional machine. We're sure that it will deliver what gamers need and want," said Keilman.
It appears that the PCs will be available for the European market on release, but the company did not rule out a launch in North America and Asia. Commodore expects to make more more announcements soon.
The problem with a Commodore comeback is that the gaming market today is nothing like the one that the C64 entered 25 years ago -- Alienware and VoodooPC are two of the top tier companies already producing gaming PCs. Also, the Microsoft Xbox360, Sony PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii are all strong competitors of PC gaming, with 41% of U.S. households reportedly now having video game consoles.

I remember playing Rambo on the C64. It always froze around when he got to the helicopter, though.

LOL..the VIC20...ahh yes the Commodore. Many an hour was spent watching the green screen.
Sometime later I had a Texas Instruments TI99 4A.
A lot of those games were pretty cool, even with todays technology."Sometimes people need a little help. Sometimes people need to be forgiven. And sometimes they need to go to jail."

We had the old C64 way back when until my little brother spilled a Slurpie all over it.....fried. We also had one of those Atari 2600 systems. Wore out many joysticks playing that thing.

FCE Ultra is back again on this site. When I started this site I added this emulator, which at that time was only for DOS. But I removed it later again because I didn't think it was that good. Since that time however FCE Ultra has gone open source (which means anyone with the right skills can contribute to it) and it has been ported to Windows.
I tried it again after a forum member told me he thought it was good - and he was right: FCE Ultra has been much improved and is a great NES emulator now.
Unfortunately in November 2002 the author of FCE Ultra, Xodnizel, decided to stop working on it as he feels most major goals for it were reached and he has lost the desire to continue to work on it. But don't let this discourage you - although we may not see any new versions, the last version is still one of the best NES emulators available.
Tip: Before you start playing I recommend you reconfigure the controls (Config->Input in the menu) as the default keys didn't work right (for me at least).

Ok here you go. Go to the first link and download that doomahickey. then go to the second link and d/l all the games you want. Take them all out of the zip files and put them into a folder I named mine Nintendo. then when you want to play you drag the ROM file into the executable and wa la it opens. Go through the options and stuff and you can configure your controls.
By the way, I was the Tecmo God, no one could stop me with the Bears.
