I think if she had stuck with the modest appearance of her "before" portrait, she would have had a better chance with the kind of men who might value the virginity and submission to male dominance that seem to be her main selling points.
This is exactly the kind of thing the Taliban were trying to prevent. Burkhas are great equalizers!
